Job Description:

Ensures that all instruments, equipment and supplies are readily available, clean and in good working condition. - Accurately sets up sterile field and ensures that extra supplies are readily accessible. - Passes instruments in a safe and efficient manner. - Performs required sponge, needle, and instrument counts. - Ensures that procedure consented for is the procedure prepared for. - Assists with the orientation and training of new staff. - Maintains equipment and assesses supplies based on PAR levels to ensure adequate inventory. - Informs charge nurse and/or Director of any problems with equipment. - Ensures that sterile supplies are properly rotated, removed and replaced. - Maintains the cleanliness of the OR corridor. - Transports patients as needed. - - PIH Health is a nonprofit, regional healthcare network that serves approximately 3 million residents in the Los Angeles County, Orange County and San Gabriel Valley region.
