Custom Install speakers and audio electronics, and the Sonance
Electronics team is a small but growing cross-functional team where
multiple roles and disciplines work closely together. We are
looking for a self-motivated and collaborative individual to define
and lead development projects for amplifier and audio electronics
products. Job SummaryWe are seeking an Electronics Product Manager
with a passion for music, technology, and audio experiences. This
role is ideal for a team player who excels in problem-solving,
enjoys working with people, and has a proven track record in
leading teams to bring new audio products to market. As part of our
team, you will be instrumental in leading development projects for
amplifier and audio electronics products, supporting products
throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life. You
will be working with Contract Manufacturers, contractors, and
internal team members to deliver and support the product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities--- Responsible for the leading the Product
Lifecycle Management Process for electronics.--- Lead product
planning and development process for amplifier and audio
electronics products and related software. --- Collaborate with
internal teams and external partners, including Asia-based
suppliers and contract manufacturers, to bring new products to
life.--- Work with R&D team, senior management, and development
partners to define new products and features.--- Conduct market
research, competitive analysis, and prepare business cases for new
product development.--- Analyze market data, develop requirements,
define pricing, forecasting, and end-of-life strategies.--- Oversee
product transition, including end-of-life, and work closely with
development and go-to-market teams for product launches.---
Coordinate with other departments to drive execution while ensuring
alignment with overall business goals.--- Lead and drive the
overall product launch process including incorporating the strategy
into the product messaging for market communications and creation
of training material for product launch and support.--- Attend
trade shows, sales events, and other related activities as
necessary.**This position is on-site in San Clemente, CA with the
opportunity for Hybrid Requirements: Requirements --- Bachelor's
degree or above in Engineering, Business, or related fields.--- 10+
years of experience in the audio industry, ideally in hardware
development with a strong understanding of software.--- 5+ years of
experience working as a Product Manager in the AV or IT field.---
5+ years of experience working as part of a cross-functional
collaborative team involving hardware, software, firmware and
integration.--- Proficiency in issue-tracking and project
management software (e.g., Jira, Confluence).--- Strong
understanding of audio electronics specifications and their impact
on customer experiences.--- Excellent team leadership and
communication skills, with the ability to motivate and encourage
others.--- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to visit
development partners, contract manufacturers and support tradeshows
and industry events.Desired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities---
Customer facing roles with deep understanding of markets, channels,
and customers.--- Ability to communicate well with engineering,
marketing, sales, and leadership.--- Ability to objectively assess
both the product engineering requirements as well as organizational
business requirements and make recommendations.--- Ability to
create visual content to present complex topics and ideas to a
broad audience.--- Experience with networked audio products
including DSP, Streaming services, User interface, Cloud systems
and services, and network concepts.--- Functional knowledge of
Mandarin is a plus.Desired Traits--- Adept at motivating others
behind ideas or efforts --- Ability to drive work to completion
with attention to detail.--- Effective communication skills, with
the ability to engage directly with suppliers and contractors.---
